With Halloween right around the corner, there is no better time to check out this haunted bookstore in Connecticut. The Book Barn houses an ever-changing collection of more than 500,000 used books. Explore all of the titles in the network of four locations all within one mile of one another in the charming village of Niantic. There is one of these locations that has a haunted bookshop, enter if you dare!
The Book Barn has four unique locations. The first location, the Main Barn, has the original barn of books plus 5 additional buildings in the compound on the outskirts of town. Store 4 is just a short walk from the Main Barn while the downtown and midtown shops are in the heart of Niantic.
The Haunted Bookstore is one of the additional buildings in the Main Barn complex. The two-story building was once a Halloween party spot until a few boxes of books were put there for storage. One thing led to another and now the Halloween barn has been filled with books and absorbed into the mighty complex.
