Enjoy Fair Foods All-Year Round At This Unique Connecticut Restaurant
Fans of fair food in Connecticut have it pretty tough. If you love funnel cake, deep-fried Oreos, donut burgers, and other oddities typically associated with fairs, you are usually out of luck outside of the fall months. Sure, dishes like deep-fried cheesecake may show up occasionally at the odd festival or event, but in general, fair foods are typically relegated to fairs. Until now, that is. A new restaurant just opened up in New Haven that specializes in fair food favorites. Fest Faves serves up all your favorite fair foods, from the savory (corn dogs or mozzarella sticks, anyone?) to the sweet (deep fried Twinkies? yes, please!)
Fest Faves opened up in late 2022. It's owned by a husband-and-wife team who, as you can probably guess, love fair food and wished to see it on menus all year round.
The interior is a whimsical homage to the world of carnivals, freak shows, and fairs. There's so much color in the decor, and it's a wonderful throwback to the magic of childhood.
Next time you're looking to splurge and enjoy yourself a little while ignoring the calorie count, swing on by Fest Faves and enjoy a maple bacon donut cheeseburger... yum!
