Spring in the Nutmeg State is such an amazing time. From the delicate cherry blossoms in New Haven’s Wooster Square to our gorgeous tulip farms and daffodils, the colors of spring in Connecticut are vivid and stunning. One place that’s great for celebrating the beauty of the season is Fairfield’s annual Dogwood Festival. This weekend-long festival has been delighting the area’s flower lovers for 85 years now. The 2022 event is scheduled for the weekend of May 7 and it’s sure to be a blast for the whole family! Make sure to mark your calendar, because this is one seasonal event you won’t want to miss.

Fairfield is a charming town that's considered one of the best places to live in Connecticut. The city has taken on the beautiful dogwood tree as its unofficial symbol.

The weekend-long festival is one of Fairfield's biggest events of the year. It's held at the historic Greenfield Hill Congregational Church.

The flowers are certainly the star of the show. The white and pink dogwood blooms are simply stunning and there are so many of them in Fairfield.

The festival attracts local merchants selling their wares. You'll find baked goods, artwork, candles, clothes, and more for sale.

This is a great way to support local businesses.

The two-day program is jammed pack with events, including concerts, a children's area, walking tours of the church grounds, and more.

This is one of our favorite (and most floral) spring festivals in Connecticut and you won't want to miss it.
