These Awesome Cabins In Connecticut Will Give You An Unforgettable Stay
Cabins have been a favorite of mine since my first ski trip as a child. There is just something so cool about being in a little wood house in the middle of the woods. Whether you’re planning to ski, swim, hike, or fish, the cabin rental is the cherry on top of any vacation trip. State parks like Black Rock and Lake Waramaug offer standard cabins for your stay, but these beauties are a lot more comfortable.
1. Winvian (Morris)
Check out the gardens, enjoy the restaurant, and book yourself a spa session.
If this isn't doing it for you, feel free to request the library room, or even cooler, a stay in the helicopter.
2. Sticks and Stones Farm (Newtown)
Take advantage of the onsite cooking classes and yoga in the cabin of your choice.
But be warned! You might have to unplug on this trip.
3. Bear Creek Campground (Lake Compounce)
Enjoy the theme and water park during the day and retreat to your cabin at night.
Of course if tipis are more your style, you can take the cabin experience to a whole new level.
4. Mystic KOA (North Stonington)
This year-round camping spot has a place for RVs too, and is decorated with apple trees.
With deluxe cabin options, tv, and wi-fi, you can enjoy nature without giving up your modern obsessions.
5. Beech Tree Cottages (Madison)
These three acres of land are just down the road from Hammonasset Beach State Park.
You can get some great shopping here and enjoy the quiet serenity of having only a few neighbors.
6. Stateline Campresorts & Cabins (East Killingly)
Calling all beginners! This campsite was made for folks who want to try camping for the first time.
You'll have a full kitchenette with dishes, plus a private bathroom and shower, even though you're in the woods and right beside a lake!
7. Riverdale Farm Campsite (Clinton)
This cabin includes a spacious deck in addition to tv and a gas grill. Each weekend features a different theme or activity, so pick the one that appeals most and plan for fun!
8. Odetah Camping Resort (Bozrah)
With the addition of premier cabins this year, you can upgrade your experience.
Enjoy being set back in the woods and still having electricity.
9. Sunfox Campground (Lisbon)
This place is all about good old fashioned family fun.
You're just a short distance from Mystic, but with the lake, you won't want to leave the grounds.
10. Grandview Campresort & Cottages (Moodus)
22.5 acres of campground leaves room for RV hookups and tents as well, but the cabins are super fun.
This town may be famous for the noises, but this camping experience will wow you with the views.
I can’t wait for camping season to begin! But I’ll need it to be at least 80 degrees first. On the other hand, this spring weather would be great for a cabin weekend of cuddling by the fire. Are you feeling like a cabin trip is in your future?
