Nature Is Reclaiming This One Abandoned Connecticut Spot And It’s Actually Amazing
When man gets tired of using things, mother nature makes them her own. Rediscovering places as they are being swallowed up in the woods is an eerie, beautiful, one-of-a-kind experience. If you haven’t gone poking around in the Connecticut woods yet, then you definitely should. Because you never know what you might discover.

Starting in the 1800s, trolleys became a staple in Nutmeggers' lives as a reliable system of transportation. A few trolleys have been maintained, offering people the chance to experience a trolley ride even today.

When some towns experienced job loss, the population migrated and the trolley came to a standstill. In other towns, new stops were added to accommodate designated areas and villages and less popular stops were closed. And some were simply replaced by roads.
So what became of the abandoned trolleys that were simply left behind? You just have to see the remnants for yourself!
Isn’t that just the coolest thing? This station and control rooms can be found in Waterbury just off Route 84 if you follow the path toward Derby Junction. If you go, or if you’ve seen them already, definitely tell us about it!
