Most People Will Never See This Gorgeous Lake Hiding In Colorado
You could spend a lifetime hiking Colorado’s trails and still not see them all. Of course, not all trails are suitable for all hikers – here’s a trail that takes you high up into the Sangre De Cristo mountains to a hidden lake. This trail difficult, and because of its steep, treacherous terrain, many Coloradans will never see this pretty lake.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Note: Recent hikers have noted that you may encounter bears near Willow Lake. If you're backpacking, make sure to bring bear-proof containers and keep a clean campsite!
Have you ever hiked Willow Lake Trail? We’d love to hear about your hike! Don’t forget to share photos from your trek in our Colorado Nature Lovers Facebook group so fellow Coloradans can see your adventure too!
If you’re looking for an easy fall hike, check out this trail. It’s under two miles, and you’ll love every step you take.
