La Abeja Mexican Restaurant is on East Colfax Avenue in Capitol Hill. It doesn't look like much from the outside. In fact, if you didn't know it was there, you could easily miss it.
You'll see that the dining room is no-frills. That's okay though, because that just means the owners and operators here put all of their effort into the food. You'll see.
There are lots of taco options. You can order them a la carte and mix and match steak, shredded pork, marinated pork, shredded beef, chicken, or pork skin.
You can also order taco plates that come with four excellent tacos made to order for you. The QuesoTacos, Tacos Ilegales, and Tacos de Alambres plates are all excellent choices.
Tacos aren't the only thing that are good at La Abeja, though. Everything served here is fantastic. Why not try some menudo/tripe soup? It's available on Saturdays and Sundays and it's the best in the area by far.
