by Annie This Quaint Little Trail Is The Shortest And Sweetest Hike In Colorado
If you are anything like me, you got a wee bit out of shape this winter and may need to ease back into your hikes before the heat of summer. Not sure where to begin? We suggest taking this short and sweet trail that may be the quaintest in Colorado:
Tucked away in Rocky Mountain National Park is the must-see Bear Lake Trail; a 0.7-mile (one-way) path that is the epitome of Colorado.
Open year-round, Bear Lake Trail circles around - you guessed it - Bear Lake, and is a short and sweet hike that is perfect for everyone in the family.
Following a winding dirt path, the trail passes under mature pine trees...
Not only are the pine trees beautiful, but they also help protect you from the overhead elements!
...native plants and geologic features...
...and some of the best photo opportunities in the state.
If you think this photo is stunning, just wait until you see Bear Lake in person!
Bear Lake Trail can be found at Bear Lake Road, nine miles from the turn-off at Highway 36 near Estes Park.
