Opened in the summer of 1956, Santa’s Workshop began as 25-acre village featuring artisan shops, puppet shows and, of course, visits with Jolly Old St. Nick himself. A few short years later, the park began expanding, eventually bringing in the iconic rides and attractions that are beloved to this day.
"#throwbackthursday to our old petting zoo in the 1950's!! White deer, goats, sheep, burros, ducks and peacocks roamed the park to the delight of young and old. Special food and bottled milk were available for guests to feed the animals."
"Did you know 1958 brought Santa’s Workshop’s first “rides”?!? The Mine Ride was the first to be added to the park!! Later in the season the Stage Coach and an authentic Fire Engine were featured."
Today the Pikes Peak attraction features more than 28 rides, restaurants and unique shows that are perfect for the entire family! For more information on the park, when it opens, and more of its history, be sure to visit their website.
