Not only do we voluntarily go to the mountains in the dead of winter (a la skiing, snowboarding, hiking, etc.), but we also wear flip flops in the snow and Land's End jackets - well, nearly every day.

While every state has seen its fair share of tragedy, Colorado has two recent instances that changed our lives forever, including the Columbine High School massacre of 1999 and Aurora Theater Shooting of 2012. Because of these two occurrences, we have learned to take care of our neighbors and loved ones even more while implementing ways of preventing these unspeakable tragedies from ever happening again. 
4. Our stomachs have survived Casa Bonita
