by Annie These 10 Little Known Restaurants In Colorado Are Hard To Find But Worth The Search
Raise your hand if you consider yourself to be somewhat of an amateur foodie. *Raises both hands.* Lucky for us gourmands, Colorado is full of tasty and unique restaurants, including these 10 little-known establishments that are hard to find but worth the search:
1. The Timbers (Cuchara)
As a mom, I do not advocate eating dessert before dinner... however, as a pregnant wannabe foodie, I completely condone making a meal out of this unreal Butterscotch Doughnut Bread Pudding...
2. Three Sisters Tavern (Colorado City)
With daily specials like this Bone-in pork chop, rice pilaf, homemade applesauce, green beans, and freshly-made roll, it's no secret that these Three Sisters can COOK!
3. Bender's Backyard Barb-E-Que (Penrose)
When they say "We ain't tellin' fibs; we have the best ribs," they ain't lying, as all of the fall-off-the-bone menu options at Bender's are cooked after you order.
4. Ruby's (Limon)
Whether you partake in one of their homemade cinnamon rolls, Wednesday fried chicken special, or try one of their amazing (and giant) burritos, you are sure to become a regular at this longtime Limon staple.
5. Rudy's Little Hideaway (Colorado Springs)
There is a reason Rudy hides away... if everyone knew about the stellar (and surprisingly affordable) breakfast and authentic Mexican menu options, he would never get a chance to sleep!
6. Village Coffee Shop (Boulder)
Alright, Buffs; now that school is back in session, you need some fuel for your day, which is where the scrumptious Village Coffee Shop (and this ridiculous strawberry banana french toast) comes into play.
7. Chimayo Mexican Grill (Dillon)
Warning: One taste of Chimayo's freshly made meats, beans, and guacamole will ruin you for all popular chain Mexican grills.
8. Jan's (Buena Vista)
Not even Marcia can upstage Jan this time, as Jan serves as one of the most popular breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots in this busy mountain town.
9. Absolute Bakery & Cafe (Mancos)
The options don't end at just freshly baked breads and desserts; Absolute Bakery also serves incredible breakfast and lunch selections out of their charming storefront.
10. Dutch Oven Smokehouse and Steak Co. (Haxtun)
Never heard of the northeast town of Haxtun? You best get yourself acquainted, as you have been missing out on some of the best BBQ outside of KC!
