With More Than 70,000 Acres To Explore, Colorado’s Largest State Park Is Worthy Of A Multi-Day Adventure
Do you know the name of the largest state park in Colorado? I am sad to say that I didn’t, but I will never forget again, as this ginormous oasis is full of things to see and do! If you are ready for a multi-day adventure, it is time to pack your bags and visit Colorado’s impressive State Forest State Park:
Located near Walden, State Forest State Park is a sprawling 71,000-acre outdoor wonderland that houses everything you love about Colorado.
Nestled between the Medicine Bow Mountains and the Never Summer Range, State Forest is your year-round, outdoor go-to, thanks, in part, to its miles of hiking and biking trails, lakes for fishing, and world-class hunting opportunities.
Fun fact: State Forest State Park is billed as the "moose viewing capital of Colorado," so keep your eyes peeled for these and other incredible animals!
On-site camping is available for an additional fee.
