The Largest Roller Rink In Colorado Will Fill You With Nostalgia
Do you remember the days when you’d meet your friends at the roller rink, lace up your rented blades, and skate around to the tunes of Paula Abdul and Smashing Pumpkins? (I’m a child of the 90s, in case you couldn’t guess.) These need not be mere memories, folks, as Colorado is home to this giant roller rink that is sure to fill you with both joy and nostalgia:
Head to Roller City in Lakewood to experience one of the largest and most popular skating rinks in the Centennial State.
Originally opened in the 1960s, Roller City delighted and entertained thousands of visitors of all ages until the 1990s, when it closed its doors for 21 years.
While it was closed, the building served as a thrift store.
Fortunately, after changing hands to a new owner and undergoing extensive renovations, the building has returned to its roots and reopened as Roller City, much to the delight of both locals who remember the good old days spent here decades ago and newcomers who are just discovering the fun for the first time.
