Located in the Denver suburb of Westminster, the Butterfly Pavilion is a truly one-of-kind oasis that is on a mission to "transform the way people think about invertebrates."
Billed as being the first stand-alone non-profit invertebrate zoo in the world, the Butterfly Pavilion gives its guests a unique look into the countless kinds of invertebrates via a knowledgeable staff and hands-on exhibits.
When you enter the Butterfly Pavilion, you will be immediately immersed in more creepy crawlies than you have ever seen, thanks to the Crawl-A-See-Em and its dozens of invertebrates (including the iconic Rosie the Terrantula)!
After visiting the resident roaches and bees, it is time to journey to the Water's Edge, which is home to everything from a baby octopus to horseshoe crabs and starfish.
In addition to the beautiful butterflies, the 7,200 square-foot Wings of the Tropics is also home to more than 200 plant species from around the world, as well as unique photo opportunities galore.
