by Annie Here Are 10 Awesome Things You Can Do In Colorado For $10 Or Less
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Colorado has something for everyone, no matter their budget, interests, location, etc. Case in point; these 10 awesome things that you can do in the Centennial State for less than one Hamilton.
1.) Head to the Drive-In
Enjoy some blockbuster hits, yummy cinema grub and a night under the stars at your local drive-in theater! We recently went to a movie at the 88 Drive-In in Commerce City and were shocked to learn that you get to watch THREE movies for only $8--what a bargain!
2.) Manitou Springs Penny Arcade
Round up some quarters and head to Manitou for some friendly (or not-so-friendly) competition at this nostalgic treasure.
3.) Telluride/Mountain Village Gondola
Nowhere else can you see such jaw-dropping views for FREE!
4.) Brewery Tours
Colorado is home to hundreds of breweries and microbreweries, so why not take advantage by enjoying a FREE tour and tasting at your favorite?
5.) Attend a Rockies Game
Whether or not you're a Rockies (or baseball) fan, you need to attend at least one game at the gorgeous Coors Field. Tickets start at only $4, so what's your excuse?
6.) Hike around Hanging Lake
Hanging Lake has spectacular views like you wouldn't believe -- hike around the designated trail for an amazing adventure!
7.) Dinosaur Ridge Tours (Morrison)
Take a self-guided tour (free) or hop the shuttle ($6) to learn more about this unique area.
8.) Hammond's Candy Factory Tour (Denver)
Feel like a kid in a candy store when you tour the famed candy factory and sample their goods...for FREE.
9.) Pack a Picnic
Mix up your regular routine by packing a portable lunch and heading to the nearest national or recreational park for a peaceful and enjoyable meal.
10.) Take in a local festival
For only the price of parking (in most cases), you can take in one of the fun and diverse festivals held in the Centennial State. Bring a bag--most of the time, you leave with a lot of cool, free swag!
