Colorado’s Favorite Theme Park Will Officially Re-Open For Summer 2021
If you are anything like us, you have visited Elitch Gardens nearly every summer of your life and felt completely thrown in 2020 when it did not re-open as usual. Fear not, Coloradan, for the Centennial State’s favorite theme park WILL officially re-open for summer 2021, only with a few changes and added precautions:
It's official: Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado, WILL re-open on weekends beginning May 1, 2021!
"The time has finally come to welcome you back to Colorado’s only combination theme and water park," gushes Elitch Gardens via a March 29th press release, sharing that they have been working closely with the City and County of Denver and will be able to re-open with new health and safety guidelines in places, including a max capacity of 18% (or 3,200 guests) each day.
In addition to the limited capacity, Elitches will also enforce social distancing, face coverings, hand sanitizing stations, and frequent cleaning and disinfecting by staff.
Opened in 1890, Elitch Gardens was originally known as Elitch’s Zoological Gardens before losing the zoo portion and continually transforming into the amusement-only park that we know and love today.
