The Ultimate Long Weekend Adventure Guide Every Denverite Will Love
Are you feeling down and in need of a little R&R? I know the feeling… but guess what? Memorial Day weekend will be here before we know it (yes!), meaning a 3-day weekend is headed our way! Want to make the most of this much-needed break? Then take our advice and follow this adventure guide for the ultimate Denver weekend:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:
Brunch at Denver Biscuit Company (Denver Southwest)
Adventure awaits, so you will want to eat a big brunch to get your day started off on the right foot! Our recommendation? The Strawberry Shortcake Biscuits (with homemade biscuits and REAL whipped cream) and a side of bacon from the DBC! Bon Appétit!
Tour the Denver Mint (Denver Southwest)
The United States is home to four mints and -- lucky for us -- one of them is located right here in Denver! Take advantage of this awesome (and important) attraction by partaking in a FREE tour.
Cheer on our boys in purple (Denver LoDo)
Nothing says springtime in Colorado quite like a day at the ballpark, and with tickets to Rockies games starting at just $4 each, how can you lose (even if the team does)?
Drinks and apps at LoDo's (LoDo)
Once the game is over, it is time to head across the street to LoDo's for not just a cold brew and yummy bite, but also one of the best rooftop views in the city!
Fuel up at Snooze (Centennial)
Another day calls for another stick-to-your-ribs brunch... and what better place to fuel up than Snooze, which just so happens to be one of Denver's favorite stops for breakfast burritos (pictured), sandwiches, and eggs benedict.
Tour Coors Brewing Company (Golden)
How did you enjoy that FREE tour of the Denver Mint? Fun, right? Well, if you liked that, you are going to LOVE the FREE tour of Coors Brewing Company, which comes with -- you guessed it -- FREE samples of the Coors family's frothy fare.
Enjoy a spectacular sunset from Lookout Mountain (Golden)
After getting a little hoppy fuel from Coors (and hitching a ride from your designated driver or Uber), it is time to hike up beautiful Lookout Mountain, which boasts not only spectacular views of the city below, but also one of the best spots for admiring one of Colorado's colorful sunsets.
Hike around Red Rocks (Morrison)
Whether you go to Red Rocks to take a yoga class, listen to a concert, or merely walk around and explore the area, make sure to take all the time you need to really enjoy this fascinating area and all that it has to offer.
Discover dinosaurs at Dinosaur Ridge (Morrison)
Located just down the road from Red Rocks is the fascinating Dinosaur Ridge; a Morrison Fossil Area National Natural Landmark complete with larger-than-life dinosaur tracks, interactive museum, and guided tours of this amazing (and historically significant) area.
Feast at White Fence Farm (Lakewood)
Are you ready to have both your taste buds and mind blown? Then you are obviously ready for the family-style goodness that is White Fence Farm, which is the perfect place to eat after spending a long day of burning calories at Red Rocks and Dinosaur Ridge...
What would YOU do during your long weekend in Denver?
