Simply head over to the Visitor's Center and check out a bike from the Golden Bike Library. It may be hard to believe, but this service is free if you keep the bike for under 2 hours! They will provide you with a handy map that leads you under a canopy of fall colors as you stop at several local breweries to taste award-winning craft brews.

This paved, tree-lined trail offers one of the prettiest creekside walks you will ever step foot on. But the adventures that await you on this trail do not stop there. Kayaking, fishing, and even gold-panning along its banks dishes up endless possibilities for fall fun.

You have one last chance to enjoy local delights from the Golden Farmers Market this season. On Saturday, October 7th the market will provide the perfect place to find some of Colorado's finest fare including local produce, freshly baked breads, locally-made wines, and so much more. The market is conveniently located just west of the Golden library along Clear Creek.
Connect with nature at Lookout Mountain Park and Nature Center.
You can join a naturalist-guided trek around a trail in this 110 acre park — or stroll through the winding forests and meadows at your own pace. Either way, you will not want to miss this chance to take in the stunning surroundings. Don't forget to stop inside for interactive exhibits to learn more about the plants and wildlife of the area.

The Denver Railroad Museum is a train lover's delight, as it is full of both railroad artifacts and chances to ride on a diesel or steam train in passenger cars from different eras in Colorado's railroad history. The museum is open daily, and there are a few fantastic fall-themed events ahead.

The October Harvest Festival (October 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) showcases holiday and seasonal trains as well as other rail-related events. And, as if trick-or-treating itself wasn't enough fun, take it over the top by visiting the trick or treat train on October 28th and 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Not only can you catch a ride behind a historic locomotive, but you can also visit the Railroad Halloween Town's special stops to fill your treat bags.
Hit the trails at Golden Gate Canyon State Park and get up close and personal with the colorful splendor of fall.
This aspen laden park is filled with an extensive series of trails for hikers of all abilities. If you don't have much time to hike, make sure you get to the Panorama Point Scenic Overlook with views of snow covered peaks, historic homesteads and aspen-rimmed meadows.
