Downtown Denver Is Getting Its Very Own Stadium District And It Looks Amazing
As if watching the Colorado Rockies play at Coors Field wasn’t awesome enough, it’s looking like heading down to LoDo to catch a game will be an entirely new experience in the near future. These changes are coming in the form of a massive “Stadium District” that will transform an entire city block next to Coors Field into a mixed-use area to be utilized as a gathering space before and after games.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. The Colorado Rockies acquired a lease on the west parking lot (located at 19th and Wazee St.) as part of re-negotiations that came about with the Rockie's lease at Coors Field coming to an end this March. The end result left the Colorado Rockies with a 99-year lease on the parking lot and a 30-year lease with Coors Field.

There are also plans to have a Colorado Rockies Hall of Fame in this new space.

This outdoor space will also be home to neighborhood concerts and festivals year-round. State of the art audio and visual systems will only add to your experience at the Stadium District.
Although there is no word yet on the expected completion date of the Stadium District, Stantec hopes to start construction in the second half of 2018.
