10 Things That Come To Everyone’s Mind When They Think Of Denver
For some reason, it is human nature to stereotype people based solely on where they live or where they were raised. Take, for instance, if you’re from out east: most people automatically assume that you worship the ground Tom Brady walks on and that all you do is sit around all day and eat NY pizza or Philly cheesesteak (depending on your whereabouts). Needless to say, Denver also gets its fair share of assumptions, as demonstrated by these 10 things that come to everyone’s mind when they think of the Mile High City:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Let's go ahead and nip this one in the "bud" (Ha, see what I did there?): Yes, recreational marijuana is legal in Colorado. No, we do not all partake and those who do don't necessarily feel the need to do so every hour of every day.

Whether it's falling from the sky or sitting on the ground, there is almost always snow in Denver, right? Wrong! With an average of 300 sunny days per year, the snow doesn't typically stick around too long in the Mile High City.

Okay, you are mixing up things we do all the time with things we *wish* we could do all the time. But the rumors are true: Denverites (and Coloradans in general) LOVE spending as much time outdoors as possible!

I wish we could deny this one, but alas... you now know why we don't really spend all of our time hiking 14ers or hitting the slope! However, with the high cost of living comes some good news: Denver's job market is on FIRE.

Hey, I'm not the one claiming it -- Travel +
Leisure is the one who named Denver the 4th sexiest city in America because we're so athletic! *insert the sassy hair flip emoji here*

This perception of Denver is also very true! Denver is an extremely bike-friendly city that provides ample bike lines, parking, and even special events/rewards for those who ride to work.

If you thought this about the Mile High City, you are not alone (wrong, but not alone)... while Denver isn't in the mountains per se, we are a short half hour drive away from the gorgeous Rockies!

Yep, it's pretty dang dry here... except of course for Cherry Creek State Park, Chatfield, Boulder Reservoir, etc.
