Fires are raging across northeastern Colorado, and efforts to contain the blaze are falling short.

Despite the efforts of at least 70 firefighters, the massive wildfire has scorched approximately 30,000 acres since it began Monday morning near the town of Proctor. Drought conditions and high winds have contributed to the size and ferocity of the blaze.
