My 3-year-old has his first day of preschool today… instead of sitting around crying (which I will probably still do the three hours he’s gone, but you get the idea), I am going to try to focus on happy things, like the fact that fall is just around the corner! If you are like me and cannot get enough of all the goodness this time of year has to offer, make plans to take this dreamy road trip through some of the best fall foliage in Colorado (link to the original map can be found here):

Quite possibly one of the most picturesque of spots in the state is the stunning Maroon Bells; a region consisting of towering mountains, clear waters, and unbeatable views no matter the time of year.

The Denver area's choice for fall foliage viewing can be found along the scenic Boulder Flatirons, which boasts not only colorful trees and mountains, but also vibrant grass and shrubs.
Last but certainly not least along this unforgettable road trip is beautiful Lory State Park; the perfect place to get out, stretch, walk around, and take pictures from some of the Park's 26 miles of trails.
