Christmas Does Not Begin In Colorado Until You Visit This Epic Outdoor Festival
We’ve featured some epic holiday attractions lately, from the
magnificent Dillon Ice Castles to the dazzling Christmas in Color light show, but there’s one upcoming event that celebrates the season in the most glorious way. Christmas in Colorado doesn’t truly begin until you’ve paid a visit to this incredible outdoor festival!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:
Welcome to Denver’s Christkindl Market!
This unique festival features a traditional German Christmas market that will fill your heart with holiday cheer. You’ll find fantastic food and beer, authentic Gluehwein, and amazing handmade crafts gathered from around the world. Christkindl Market invites visitors to "Sip, shop, and savor the season," and it’s one of the most festive places you’ll find in the entire state.
The event, which is hosted by the German American Chamber of Commerce and the German Cultural Foundation, features live music…
...authentic German cuisine...
...unique shopping you will not find anywhere else...
...and, of course, BEER!
Christkindl is modeled after traditional German Christmas markets and is a true feast for all of the senses. It just might be the best German market outside of… well, Germany!
If you’re ready to dive into the spirited season in the most delightful way, head straight for Christkindl Market.
Please note: Christkindl Market vendors, musicians, and specials change daily, so be sure to check the market's
for an entire calendar of events - you may even want to visit multiple times to see more of the ever-changing festivities!
You’ll find it at the 16th St. Mall and Arapahoe St. in Denver. The market is open through December 23rd and operates on Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
