The German Christmas Market, Christkindl, Is A One-Of-A-Kind Place To Visit In Colorado
Colorado is home to incredible restaurants, world-class outdoor recreation, and other out-of-this-world attractions, but did you know that the Centennial State is also the place to be at Christmastime? While there is a lot to see and do this most wonderful time of the year, we recommend beginning with the can’t-miss Christkindl Market:
Situated along the 16th Street Mall in Denver, the Christkindl Market is a Christmastime favorite that invites you to "Sip, shop, and savor the season!"
Founded and hosted by the German American Chamber of Commerce and the German Cultural Foundation, Colorado's Christkindl Market is based on the traditional German markets that date back to the 14th Century.
While the original German markets featured only food and practical winter supplies, they quickly morphed into a holiday-time tradition, which can be experienced right here in the Mile High City!
What does this Christmastime tradition entail? Celebrating its 19th season, the Christkindl Market is home to live entertainment...
The Denver Christkindl Market runs November 22nd through December 23rd, 2019, and operates Sunday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
