A Trip To This Gigantic Farmer’s Market in Colorado Will Make Your Weekend Complete
Everyone knows that spring kicked off on March 20th, but did you know that another wonderful season started at the same time? That’s right, folks; it’s farmer’s market season in Colorado! If you are ready for the freshest produce, best baked goods, and ample artisan goods, you are going to want to plan your trip to this gigantic Colorado farmer’s market:
Welcome to the Boulder County Farmer’s Market, whose mission is to "support, promote and expand local agriculture, making fresh products accessible to our community and strengthening relationships between local food producers and food consumers."
Started in 1987, the Boulder County Farmer’s Market runs out of five different locations, including 13th Street (between Canyon & Arapahoe) in Boulder...
...the fairgrounds in Longmont...
...and even select weekends at Denver Union Station!
What started as a simple vision by local farmers had grown by leaps and bounds over the last 30 years, and now includes such goodness as fresh produce, food mixes, honey, and baked goods...
...locally made crafts and artisan gifts...
...bouquets of colorful and oh-so fragrant flowers...
...and even a number of special events, concerts, and activities for the entire family.
(Need we mention that admission to the market — which is also the longest market season in Colorado — is FREE?)
The Boulder County Farmer’s Market re-opens April 7th in both Boulder and Longmont.
