With treasures large and small like the Tattered Cover Bookstore and Second Star to the Right, bibliophiles can easily make a home in Colorado. One bookshop that you can lose a few hours in is The Bookworm. Not only is The Bookworm the largest used bookstore in Boulder, but it’s also one of the biggest in all of Colorado! Let’s get pleasantly lost in this labyrinth of books as we explore The Bookworm:
What began as a tiny bookshop in Diagonal Plaza eventually grew to the endless wall-to-wall literary escape on 28th and Glenwood. The store was originally opened by Linda Peashka in 1984 and is now operated by Linda’s daughter Cathy and her husband Allen Dillie.
The store may be a modest 5,000 sq. ft. building but it contains infinite hours of stories to discover.

This isn't the store to visit if you know what you want. Instead, let the book(s) pick you! There's always a reason to visit again and again.

The store has every genre you could ever be interested in reading from history to new age. Peruse the huge sections of children's books or science fiction and fantasy. The Bookworm also carries audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and gifts.
Fall into a story or fall into a good conversation with the folks at The Bookworm. The staff here is what sets the store apart from any chain bookstore. These folks know their books! Even though the shop doesn't have an online inventory, the staff can locate just about any desired title (even if you only remember what color the cover is)!
There's really no better pairing than fresh coffee and a good book. The cafe has a delicious selection of hot drinks or bottled cold drinks. The cafe also has Wi-Fi!
