Cool Off This Summer With A Visit To These 7 Colorado Waterfalls
A very wise (and catchy) 90s R&B diddy once advised us not to chase waterfalls, but do you know what? Temperatures are getting to be unbearable for us (seriously, what in the humidity is happening to the Centennial State?), and we need to cool down, which is why we endorse visiting all 7 of these beautiful Colorado waterfalls.

With a name like Treasure Falls, you know it has to be great, which is exactly what this waterfall is! Featuring a half-mile hike and 105-foot-tall waterfall, Treasure Falls is a must-visit gem along the Western Slope. (Psst... legend has it that there may even be treasure buried near the falls!)

Arguably the bluest and most unforgettable waterfall (and body of water), Hanging Lake features several delicate falls that make the already stunning area even more so. Even better? The water below the falls is a stunning turquoise created by dissolved limestone from the Mississippian Period Leadville Formation.

You have visited the incredible Great Sand Dunes National Park, but did you know that just down the road from the hills of sand is a hidden waterfall? Nestled away near the bottom of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Zapata Falls is surrounded by dune fields and tundra, making it all the more unique and surprising.

Welcome to Bridal Veil Falls: the tallest free-fall waterfall in the state! Towering at 365 feet, Bridal Veil Falls boasts a moderate, 4-mile hike to the top of the falls on the road with an elevation gain of 1,650 feet! (I don't know about you, but I will enjoy the view from the bottom of the waterfall.)

Not to be confused with the Academy Award-winning actress, Helen Hunt Falls is a small waterfall with a short and sweet hike named for the activist and writer who is most famous for fighting for the rights of Native Americans.

Located just down the road from Helen Hunt Falls, Seven Falls is considered Colorado's "Most Majestic Waterfall," and for a good reason. Featuring not one, not two, but seven waterfalls, Seven Falls is one of the area's most popular waterfalls and hikes, thanks to its butt-busting 224-step staircase.

It may not have 7 different waterfalls, but the triple-fall Rifle Falls is still a sight to see. Showcasing 3 perfect, 70-foot waterfalls, Rifle Falls, and the surrounding Rifle State Park is the perfect place to be to hike, take pictures, and explore.
