The Aptly-Named Rocky Mountain High Trail Is About As Colorado As It Gets
What would you say if you had to guess Colorado’s official state song? “Rocky Mountain High” by John Denver, right? While the official song is actually “Where the Columbines Grow” by Arthur John Flynn (weird, right?), “Rocky Mountain High” manages to capture the Centennial State perfectly, which is why we love the name of this Colorado trail:
Welcome to the stunning and perfectly-named Rocky Mountain High Trail.
Formerly known as the Mountain Lion Trail, this Golden Gate Canyon State Park beauty spans nearly seven miles and features stunning Rocky Mountain scenery that will have you thinking you're inside a postcard.
Deemed moderate, the Rocky Mountain High Trail passes along creek crossings, through lush plains and meadows, and under aspen groves, making for a Colorado hike you will never forget.
Keep your eyes peeled - you never know what you will see along the Rocky Mountain High Trail.
Is anyone else getting major "Rocky Mountain High" vibes from this picture?
