Time Stands Absolutely Still In This Tiny Arkansas Town
Just northeast of the town of Hope you’ll find a tiny community called Washington. It seems like there might not be much there, as most towns with only 180 residents do not tend to be hubs of activity. There’s something hiding in the tiny town of Washington, however, and it might just surprise you. You see, the small community of Washington contains its own time warp. You can step all the way back into the 19th century at the state park there.

J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
