The path we’ll take today begins at the Mulberry Mountain Lodge so let’s lace up our hiking boots and head out:

Park at Mulberry Mountain Lodging for a day trip or plan a full weekend at the campground! They're also off of one of the prettiest scenic drives in the state (the Pig Trail), nestled in the Ozark National Forest near the Mulberry River, and have access to all sorts of outdoor activities.

The hike isn't terribly long but do note the elevation change is a dramatic 700 feet. The creek is lovely and there are numerous rock formations to check out as well.

The number of waterfalls in this area is breathtaking! Visit Mountain Creek Falls, Spirit Mountain Falls, Mount Fork Creek Falls, Sixty Foot Falls, and a handful of other unnamed waterfalls along the trails here. You can also connect to the Ozark Highlands Trail for more hiking sections or to begin a backpacking excursion.

The best part about this waterfall is that it's one you can walk behind! Take time to enjoy this fall from every possible perspective.

Spring and fall are the best seasons for planning a hike to Sixty Foot Falls. Though we will say the bluff is impressive even without a heavy cascade.

As always, be sure to research this hike further before taking that first step. A GPS-friendly map can be found here. Don't forget to Leave No Trace!
