The Homemade Goods From This Store In Arkansas Are Worth The Drive To Get Them

Small town Arkansas is filled with must-visit sites – and Heard’s Country Store is one of them! The rustic roadside shop is stocked with great merchandise, including lots of homemade goods. In addition to the impressive inventory, the store serves up some great burgers and boasts an eclectic collection of antique décor.

Walnut Ridge is a small town in northeast Arkansas. It’s might not be on your radar, but it should be – and that’s because it is home to Heard’s Country Store.

The exterior doesn’t look like much, but the interior tells another story.

Like a museum of sorts, the walls and shelves are filled with antiques and memorabilia.

A true one-stop shop, Heard’s Country Market carries all sorts of items, including homemade goods.

The homemade selection is made up mostly of jarred foods; however, don’t assume that means there isn’t a variety.

There are quite a few kinds of jarred goods, from jams and sorghums to pickled veggies and more.

In addition to jarred goods, the market carries locally grown produce, which varies by the season. The merchandise selection doesn’t end there, though. Heard’s Country Market carries groceries and fishing tackle too.

Not just a place to shop, the market also includes a restaurant. Made up of burgers and sandwiches, the menu is pretty simple but sure to impress.

The burgers are consistently touted as “the best.” And since Heard’s Country Market is the “home of the best deli sandwich for miles,” you know the sandwiches are good.
