The River Mountain Park Trail in Little Rock is a stunner. This breezy and beautiful hike is the perfect place for an afternoon in nature! No long car rides to a remote forest is needed for today’s feature (though a trip to Pinnacle Mountain State Park wouldn’t be too far away). Let’s enjoy a quick trip as we further explore this trail:
Little Rock is filled with attractions both urban and natural! One enjoyable trail in the woods is the River Mountain Park Trail.
The path winds pleasantly through the woods and streams as an out-and-back trail. The majority of your hike will be under the canopy so it's perfectly refreshing during any time of day.

The trail is rated as moderate but is easy to navigate.
The full out-and-back is 2.9-miles long and has some mild elevation gain. The trail does cross the creek quite a few times so be careful of any slippery rocks!
Besides the wildflowers or colorful foliage, the trail's creek is typically running consistently during these seasons. Summertime usually dries up the creek.
