Arkansas’ Mount Magazine State Park Looks Even More Spectacular In the Winter
Our highest peak is a stunner any time of the year and winter brings an entirely new level of breathtaking beauty. After a snow (or even dusting), Mount Magazine is a wintery dream! Arkansas’ seasons are always a bit wild and unpredictable, but let’s look through these snowy scenes and hope we can have another white winter soon:

This beloved state park is downright dazzling during any sort of winter weather. The lush green valley below turns into a crisp blue and white masterpiece.

Just imagine the light sounds of snow falling and the gently creaking of heavy, snow-covered branches. Crunch through the drifts to reach one of the many vistas or just stay snuggled in a car tour.

Zooming in or out will reward visitors with breathtaking scenes. Try to capture an entire panoramic shot or focus on the individually iced trees in the valley below.

Even if we don't get snow, the ice has a way of adding natural art to the mountain - especially its waterfalls!

This particular shot was from the one-day snow in December 2020. Even a light dusting will add some magic to Mount Magazine.

You can see the wintery scenic beauty all while staying warm and cozy inside the lodge. Spend the night or just get warm by the giant fireplace.
