On June 15, 1836, Arkansas became a state. Let’s celebrate 180 years of statehood by listing a few of the reasons homegrown Arkansans are the absolute best. So today, hug your local Arkansan, enjoy a tall glass of milk, eat a vine ripe pink tomato, cook up some rice, sit beneath a pine tree, listen to the honeybees, check out this list of Arkansas symbols, and remember that in Arkansas, The People Rule.
