Arkansas’ Most Easily Accessible Waterfalls Are Hiding In Plain Sight

When it comes to beautiful places in Arkansas, none quite compare to Garvan Woodland Gardens. Named one of the nation’s top botanical gardens, the grounds are stunning and boast everything from majestic landscapes to dynamic pieces of architecture and…waterfalls!

Located in Hot Springs, Garvan Woodland Gardens is the botanical garden of the University of Arkansas.

A peaceful retreat, the grounds span 210 acres and include several specialty gardens as well as a few architectural gems, like Anthony Chapel and the Bob and Sunny Evans Tree House.

There are lots of other lovely features, too, including bridges, benches, and, you guessed it, waterfalls!

The cascades, which vary in size, are scattered throughout the gardens.

One of the most impressive falls can be found in the Garden of the Pine Wind, a 4-acre rock and stream garden.

In addition to a 12-foot waterfall, the Garden of the Pine Wind features three major cascades, two springs, four pools, and a ½-acre koi pond.

Fans of falls will also want to check out Millsap Canopy Bridge, a 120-foot pedestrian bridge that’s positioned two stories above the forest floor.

The gently curved walkway winds through a “woodland paradise,” comprised of pristine pools, cascades, and lush greenery.
