You’ll Have A Front Row View Of Arkansas’ Mount Magazine At These Cozy Cabins
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast who loves to take in magnificent views while you get some exercise, Mount Magazine State Park is for you. After a day hiking or mountain biking to the highest elevation in the state, retire to your cabin and take in the sweeping vistas.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

There are lots of ways to get around in Mount Magazine State Park. You can go on your own two feet, two wheels, or even four hooves! Horseback riding is a great way to traverse the Ouachita Mountains.

Photographers can capture so many fantastic images while traveling to the valley. Wait till the sun burns away the valley fog for the best shots.

As the sun goes down you'll bask in an array of colors before twilight casts the park in silhouette.

Stroll to the edge of this overlook to scope out the best spot for a picnic. Though dining al fresco is popular, you can also eat at the Skycrest Restaurant. It's in the Lodge, at 577 Lodge Drive.

While some "glampers" will brave a tent to sleep under the stars, it's also a real treat to take in the universe from the cabins here.

Don't let the vast expanses distract you from the utter beauty beneath your feet. Take in the bright blooms all along the mountainside, too.
After an intense day of climbing or simply basking in the sun, you may want to cool off with a swim. The Lodge pool is lovely and refreshing. Whether you’re a full-fledged naturist or prefer to view the natural world from a cozy indoor perch, you’ll love the cabins at Mount Magazine State Park.
