We're considering it a little side trip since it's to Tiny Town. The miniature animated city is the world's largest as well as the state's largest miniature train display.

Frank Moshinskie founded the teeny tiny town when he was 13 years old. What began as a train display around the Christmas tree slowly grew into a neighborhood attraction. The town made its roots in Hot Springs after Moshinskie moved from Baton Rouge in 1962.

Although everything is small the size of the town is quite impressive. It's a hodgepodge of tourist attractions (like Mount Rushmore), trains, the Wild West, and everyday town life.

In addition to the sheer size of the town, one of the most impressive aspects is the craftsmanship. Nothing in Tiny Town came from a model kit - it's all handmade! Knickknacks and scraps were molded together to make the trees, buildings, and displays. The town also has multiple water features as well!

You can read more history about the town by heading to their website. Tiny Town is open Monday-Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM.
