You Wouldn’t Expect This One Small Arkansas Town To Have So Many Big Adventures
Siloam Springs is the perfect blend of Northwest Arkansas bustle and Ozark natural beauty. This little city is packed with some big adventures, most of which the entire family can enjoy. Let’s start with the exciting activities and work our way up to the thrilling experiences that can all be enjoyed in Siloam Springs.
Much like its neighbor, Eureka Springs, tourists flocked to the town after reports of its healing spring. Word traveled fast and the town's population jumped to over 3,000 in just its first year. Today the small city has developed its outdoor attractions (including the spring) to fit a variety of thrill seekers.
The creek travels through Twin Springs Park in the middle of town. This little excursion is great for families with smaller children that may not quite be ready for our later adventures. Through city efforts, the creek has been restored and updated with boulder steps so everyone can safely be on the water's edge while fishing for the "big one."

Again, not the place for an avid adrenaline junkie but we'll get to that soon. The Family Aquatic Center is one of few water parks in the state and is perfect for families with all ages. Make a splash off the diving board or slip down the twisting water slide.

Skate, walk, or ride along the developing Dogwood Springs Trail. The trail will eventually link every park in the city. Currently the trail has multiple loops to suit any desired length of riding.
A leisurely ride through town is certainly enjoyable but nothing quite beats a speedy zip with banks and jumps. The 5.5-mile soft-surface trail has options ranging from the 1.8-mile portion for those with intermediate skills to an easier 1.1-mile for those still learning.

The Siloam Springs Kayak Park is a fantastic, human-engineered park that takes water enthusiasts along 700 feet of the Illinois River. Tubes, canoes, and kayaks can all be used to take on the class I and II rapids. The park also has calmer pools along the side of the river so everyone can enjoy the water. Keep in mind that everyone must wear a life jacket.

Those 18 and older can learn the ropes (er, cords) and take a tandem jump with one of the ranch's professional instructors. More advance jumps are also available for experienced divers.
