This Tucked Away Treehouse Just Might Be Your New Favorite Arkansas Getaway
Most folks only think of Eureka Springs when looking for treehouse lodging, but they’re not the only place in Arkansas for a unique stay. Shady River Getaway is a tucked away paradise in the small town of Pocahontas. Let’s head to the river and explore this relaxing spot.

This relaxing little resort is located north of Pocahontas at the river's bend. It's address is 1835 Stoney Point Rd., Pocahontas, AR 72455.

There are only two cottages and the treehouse on the private 120 acres so you'll never feel overwhelmed by crowds. The Firefly Treehouse is perfect for a couple's retreat, although small families are also more than welcome.

Tuck in to a home cooked meal in the lodging's full kitchen and unwind in the deck-side bathtub for two.

A motorized cart is included in your stay. The wildflower-filled trails can be walked, driven, or biked.

Most of the cave can be viewed without any hassle other than a flashlight, though there are other areas that can be accessed with crawling.

Summertime swimming is a must but each season brings new a new reason to visit. Migratory birds can be spotted during winter and successful fishing is guaranteed year-round. Kayaking through the fall foliage makes for a beautiful trip, too.

You can schedule a motorized river tour to see the recently renovated Looney Tavern. The log tavern was originally built in 1833 and is believed to be the oldest commercial structure in the state.
