You wouldn't guess it but there's a full fledged trail behind the businesses of Bowman Road. For directions to Rock Creek Trail, use this map.
The trail quickly turns from a cityscape to a green escape from the city.

The full trail is an easy 3.2 miles and family-friendly (four-legged family members included). Walking, running, and biking are all welcomed along the trail. The trail isn't lit so we do recommend taking your stroll mid-morning or in the afternoon.
