There’s No Time Like The Present To Visit Arkansas’ State Park Of The Year
Every Arkansas park is a winner in our book but the Mississippi River State Park was recently awarded for being the best park this year! This delta retreat has a little bit of everything for families to enjoy so let’s take a quick tour of the massive park.

It's impossible to not find something to love inside this diverse park. The park is actually our newest state park, it was established in 2009.
Each year the Official Arkansas State Parks organization features an outstanding park in the state. In addition to bragging rights the award is a shout out to the hard work the park's superintendent (and her team) have accomplished over the year. Way to go Kristina Root!
Many of our parks feature a lake or two but the Mississippi River State Park has seven different bodies of water for recreation! Kayakers, boaters, fishers, and summertime swimmers will really be in seventh heaven with the selection!
The state park has six recreation areas for campers with sites for RVs as well. Picnic around one of the lakes or stroll along the park's Bear Creek Lake Nature Trail.
Inside you'll be able to learn everything about the Mississippi River, the Delta, Crowley’s Ridge, and the St. Francis National Forest.
