This Secluded Creek In Arkansas Might Just Be Your New Favorite Swimming Spot
We’re sure your summer itinerary is filling up fast but we do have the perfect suggestion for one of the lazy days. If you’d rather skip the crowds at the water park for a more natural getaway, head to Kirkwood Falls for a swimming retreat. This waterfall-fed creek will easily be a new family favorite.

The drive may take longer than the trek but beautiful area is absolutely worth the trouble. From Havana (the nearest town), it takes just under 10 miles to reach the secluded Kirkwood Falls.

We do love the swimming at Kings River or Natural Dam but there's always fewer crowds at this particular waterfall-fed pool. The waterfall is great for photography or just a family-friendly swim.

Hiking up Mill Creek is technically a bushwhack but it's definitely an easy one. In less than a mile you'll come across the Middle Kirkwood Falls and this one, Upper Kirkwood Falls.
