This Massive Fabric Warehouse In Arkansas Is A Dream Come True
The joy of walking into your favorite chain craft store is nothing compared to the thrill of walking into this particular warehouse. The overwhelming selection of fabric is a dream come true for crafters and will provide inspiration for even the most novice of sewers. Let’s step into the warehouse and see what’s for sale.
The most massive fabric warehouse in the state is hiding somewhere unexpected.
Marshall Dry Goods is in the northern central part of the state in the town of Batesville. You'll find it at 310 W Main St.,
Batesville, AR 72501.
Sewers, quilters, and crafters will be in seventh heaven as soon as they step through the door.
The bombardment of bolts will have you more inspired than mile-long Pinterest board. The warehouse specializes in woven cotton and poly/cotton fabrics with thousands of different designs.
The warehouse isn't just huge, it's downright colossal.
The 130,000-sq. ft. building contains over 256 million yards of fabric. Over 24,000 of their fabric selection are designed in-store, so your next creation will be even more one-of-a-kind.
The immense collection has grown over the decades.
The business originally opened in 1944 by Hassell Marshall. Today his son-in-law Larry Bentley and Bentley's son Marshall run the warehouse. In the early years Mr. Marshall would sell to Sam Walton (and his little local store called Walmart) but now Marshall Dry Goods has over 18,000 customers all over the world.
Whether you're a local hobbyist or an international chain store rep, everyone can agree that Marshall Dry Goods is jaw dropping.
