Everyone around Arkansas has a reason to be happy – travel around the country and you won’t find a state that’s as comfortable with life. Out of all the cities and towns around the Natural State, though, these locales are the happiest. These Arkansas cities enjoy a good number of festivals and events for residents to enjoy and all the bad elements of the world don’t seem to hover around these areas.

Famous for being the headquarters of Walmart, Bentonville is still a medium-sized city despite the growth it's experienced over the past decade. Bentonville has been lauded in the press as being one of America's most unique cities. Still keeping its small town characteristics although the name of the town has gained popularity, Bentonville citizens enjoy a safe place to live with a low crime rate.
Located just outside of Springdale and Fayetteville in the northernmost part of the state, Centerton keeps its small-town Arkansas charm even though it's so close to towns experiencing a population boom. Centerton residents enjoy a safe place to raise their families while commuting in and out of the metropolitan parts of northwest Arkansas. New residential developments are being constructed, so the word is out!
Situated in south Arkansas, Warren is surrounded by woodlands and wildlife, making the town an outdoors person's paradise. Warren has maintained its historic downtown area quite well and the town still hosts the annual Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival each June. Residents are happy not to break their bank accounts living the good life in Warren - the quality of life is high here without suffering exceedingly high prices.
8. White Hall
One of the smaller happiest towns in the state, White Hall is located in the southern-central part of Arkansas, approximately a half-hour outside of Little Rock. Despite its small size, White Hall is one of the most affluent cities in the state, attracting residents because of its low crime rate compared to nearby towns. White Hall continues to grow with new shops and restaurants, and the residents couldn't be any more content with the way things are going in town.
7. De Queen
Located in west Arkansas, De Queen is the county seat for Sevier County. De Queen offers a lot of big-town services despite its small population. Residents have access to a medical center, higher education, and well-maintained parks and recreation. De Queen's crime rate is also low, keeping residents happy and making the town very desirable for those seeking to raise a family or live the good quiet Southern life.
Located in west Arkansas, Greenwood is a small suburb of Fort Smith and offers residents a very safe place to live while remaining close to the city and commuting from work to home. Greenwood boasts a great quality of life and offers a multitude of special events for visitors and residents to enjoy.
5. Bella Vista
One of the Natural State's newer towns, Bella Vista can be found in the northwest portion of the state bordering on Missouri. The town has become known as a retirement community after originally being established as a summer resort. However, people of all ages find fun things to do in Bella Vista - the landscape is great for photography and sightseeing. The town also has the second lowest crime rate in the state according to data gathered from 2014 Arkansas statistics. There's a lot to smile about when being out and about in Bella Vista.
The wealthiest city in Arkansas, Maumelle is located north of Little Rock, bordering the Arkansas River. The area is picture perfect with many parks, lakes, and bridges available so residents can truly enjoy what the town has to offer. The commute to work isn't so bad either, as residents of this affluent suburb are not a far drive away from bigger nearby locations like Conway, North Little Rock, and Little Rock.
Situated in northeast Arkansas, Pocahontas is considered one of the safest cities in the state according to data provided from national statistics taken in 2014. The town's residents are treated to gorgeous scenery on the Black River, and Pocohontas has a growing number of industries that are attracting new residents. Being such a lovely place to live considering the celebrated culture and history of the town, Pocohontas's citizens definitely don't have much to complain about!
2. Siloam Springs
Situated on the Oklahoma border, Siloam Springs was originally known for the springs that feed into the creek in town. These springs reportedly had healing powers. Modern day Siloam Springs now has a thriving art community in addition to its historic downtown. Siloam Springs has the honor of being on many "best small towns of America" lists in recent years. The quality of life in Siloam Springs is a huge appeal that attracts lots of new residents.
1. Fairfield Bay
Located in north central Arkansas, Fairfield Bay is situated on hills that overlook the north shore of Greers Ferry Lake, one of the more popular tourist destinations in the Natural State. Residents here experience a truly idyllic lifestyle, as many of the townspeople are retirees living their lives to the fullest playing golf or out on the boat. Fairfield Bay has a lot to offer all ages with its numerous outdoor activities for everyone to experience.
