The Magical Attraction In Arkansas You Have To See To Believe
Springtime is just around the corner, and I’m sure you’re penciling in all the things you’ll want to do after the weather allows you to spend more time outdoors. We are the Natural State, of course, and that means there are a million ways for you to spend time outside. One of those ways of taking in the best of the Natural State will give you an experience you really have to see to believe. Garvan Woodland Gardens is a sprawling botanical garden managed by the University of Arkansas where you can stroll through hundreds of picturesque acres to see a wonderland unlike any other.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
If you want to see a sea of daffodils this spring, Garvan Woodland Gardens is definitely the place to be. There are 235 varieties of Narcissus on Daffodil Hill, and they'll be blooming in late February and early March.
J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
