6 Easy-Access Arkansas Waterfalls That Are Perfect For A Summer Adventure
Arkansas is filled with beautifully rugged trails fit for experienced adventurers. However, today we will not be covering any of those! Today’s waterfall adventures are for the laid-back hikers, family picnickers, and anyone that desires a park-and-we’re-here outing. Let’s stroll these low-key hikes and enjoy the refreshing summertime cascades.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Although it's not the tallest fall, Natural Dam offers wading, (kid-friendly) rock climbing, and creek swimming. This family-friendly waterfall is 200-ft. long with multiple cascades to splash under. The only "hiking" needed here is a quick jaunt from the parking lot to the falls on the other side of the road.

For a deeper dip, head to the east side of the Ozark National Forest. The aptly named Falling Water Falls is a roadside retreat featuring the most stunning turquoise water. Swim under the waterfalls or hang out under the grotto beneath the rock shelf.

Haw Creek Falls is another wide creek-spanning waterfall that's perfect for families. This waterfall in the recreational area is easy-access but there are a few other waterfalls to chase on the nearby trails.

Little Missouri Falls has a longer hike than the other trails, but not to worry - it's only a ¼-mile trek. The series of cascades are nestled deep in the Ouachita National Forest just north of the Albert Pike Recreation Area. There's a forest picnic area close by for an after-swim refuel, too!

We'll return north to the Ozarks to reach Triple Falls. The 48-ft. triple (or twin depending on the season) falls are an easy .8-mile walk from the Camp Orr parking lot. The drive to here does have some steep gravel inclines so you may need to skip this one if you're in a small car.

The only human-engineered waterfall on the list is the pour-off from Mirror Lake, arguable one of the most photographic waterfalls in the state! The full loop around the lake is 1.3-miles-long.
