Arkansas native, Carol Ann Carson, has written for OnlyInYourState for three years now. She resides in Western Arkansas' Mountain Frontier but calls NWA home as well. She loves exploring the trails around the Buffalo National River and has yet to find a waterfall that wasn't her favorite.
We may be a teensy bit biased, but Arkansas does have some of the best primitive campsites in the world. You don’t have to look far to find a spot to fulfill that pleasantly lost in the woods feeling here in the Natural State. That said, if you’re not in the mood to become the next Bear Grylls, the state has some pretty darn glorious glamping opportunities as well. You’ll definitely feel pampered at this particular yurt in the middle of Arkansas wine country.
