The Clinton Presidential Park Bridge has been revamped from an old railroad bridge to a rather spectacular pedestrian trail.
It was built in 1899 as one of the six bridges in Little Rock. The Rock Island Railroad Bridge was remodeled to fit pedestrian and cyclists' needs in 2011. It's located behind the Clinton Presidential Center at 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201.
The hike connects to a much larger network of trails around the city.
The Clinton Presidential Park Bridge is the starting point for the Arkansas River Trail, a 21.5-mile (and counting) loop between Little rock and North Little Rock. The southern segment is an easy 2-mile trek that makes a great family day trip.
This portion of the River Trail passes all sorts of fun attractions, including another trail!
This two-mile trek will take you by the Witt Stephens Jr Nature Center, Museum of Discovery, and the River Street Market. Before you reach those you'll pass the William J.
