It's about seven miles north of Eureka Springs. Today we're visiting the Beaver Town Inn and Trading Post, it's located at 102 State Hwy 187, Suite A, Eureka Springs, AR 72631.
Before we reach our destination we'll cross the "Little Golden Gate" of Arkansas.

The Beaver Bridge is a historic landmark built back in the 1940s. You may have seen it in the 2005 movie Elizabethtown starring Orlando Bloom and Jessica Biel. The one-lane suspension bridge is picture-perfect any time of year and there's a nearby trail on the northern side as well.
Less than a minute from the bridge is the perfectly lovely Beaver Town Inn and Trading Post.

The namesake of the town, Wilson Ashbury Beaver, established the trading post in 1901 using limestone from the surrounding area. According to locals, General Sterling Price and his officers stayed at the trading post after their retreat from the Battle of Pea Ridge. This seems to be rooted more in lore than in fact but it's one of the many stories that makes up the place's old world feel.
Today the trading post is an eclectic antiques store. It's easy to spend a few hours getting lost in here.

The store has about everything you could ever want to find. Pilfer through the shelves of books, find an odd knick-knack you didn't know you needed, or even take home a jar of locally picked and pickled oyster mushrooms. There's no telling what you'll find in this place.
