You really can’t go wrong with any of the camp spots along the Buffalo River; however, there’s one particular campground that definitely needs to make your camping bucket list. Tyler Bend is a perfect blend of elements that create one of the best campgrounds in the state. Let’s pack the s’mores and enjoy the view at this lovely little spot.

Since it's in the middle of the river, Tyler Bend is a great access point for lower and upper river activities. The campground is also one of the smallest that still has hot showers available (about 30 drive-in sites compared to Buffalo Point's 100), so you can have more elbow room for your family without comprising amenities.
Depending on which campsite you choose, this can be your tent view. It's pretty darn gorgeous.

59 different species of fish make their home in the Buffalo. 12 of those are game fish like Rainbow Trout, Sunfish, and Smallmouth Bass. Don't forget to pick up a handy guidebook at the Tyler Bend Visitor Center!
There's a trail system of loops that go around the park, so you can customize a hike to fit your family's needs.

The restored Collier Homestead is one of the homes built by settlers in response to the Homestead Act of 1862. You can reach it by taking the moderate 2.1-mile Tyler Bend Trail.
It's a great way to see the Buffalo River from a different perspective.
